Blogger @数码闲聊站 revealed that Xiaomi’s new flagship will be released next month and will support 100-watt super-fast charging for the first time.
Currently, Xiaomi's flagship model M2007J1SC has obtained 3C certification. The charger model it is equipped with is MDY-12-ED, with a maximum output power of 120W (20V/6A). This is the industry's first 100-watt fast-charging mobile phone to obtain 3C certification.
Previously, Redmi Product Director Wang Teng hinted that Xiaomi is about to mass-produce commercial 100-watt fast charging technology. From this, it seems that this new flagship that has just obtained 3C certification is Xiaomi's first model to use commercial 100-watt fast charging.
Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of Redmi brand, pointed out that fast charging technology needs to consider five technical difficulties:
1. Loss of battery capacity: The faster the charging speed, the greater the loss of battery capacity;
2. Technical implementation (technical architecture): ultra-high voltage charging solution;
3. Performance: How to make 100W charging not only technically achievable, but also ensure that the charging time is long and sustainable;
4. Safety: Multiple protections are required for the motherboard/battery/charger, etc.
5. Cover multiple charging scenarios: consider wired charging + wireless charging scenarios, as well as charger compatibility.
In the second half of the year, Xiaomi's 100W fast charging will be put into mass production and commercial use. As for the name, it may be the rumored "super cup".
According to leaked information, the Xiaomi Mi Ultra uses a 120Hz OLED hyperbolic flexible screen and is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship platform. This may be the first 120Hz OLED screen flagship in the Xiaomi series.
As for the price, considering that the starting price of Xiaomi 10 Pro is 4,999 yuan, the price of Xiaomi Ultra may be around 5,000 yuan, which is worth looking forward to.
