Today, Xiaomi’s official Weibo account announced that it will hold an online launch event for the Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition 5G and MIUI 12 at 2 p.m. on April 27.
Judging from the content of the poster, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition has a square quad-camera setup on the back, one of which is a periscope telephoto lens that supports 50X zoom. The official camera layout is basically the same as the overseas version of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, but the latter does not have a periscope lens. It seems that the camera configurations of the domestic and overseas versions are somewhat different.
The overseas version of Xiaomi 10 Lite uses a 6.57-inch OLED water drop screen, is equipped with a Snapdragon 765G SoC, supports dual-mode 5G, and has a battery capacity of 4160mAh. The configuration of Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition should be similar.
MIUI 12 was also released together with Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition. It is reported that MIUI 12 started the project in January this year. It will bring new features such as new navigation bar and gestures, improved camera interface, better dark mode, optimized advertising services, new notification management system, etc. At the same time, the system interface and animation will also have major changes.
Previously, TÜV Rheinland hinted on Weibo that MIUI 12 has a new certification. As for which specific aspect it is, it is not clear at the moment, so let's wait and see.
