Yesterday, Xiaomi officially released the Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G concept phone at its Beijing headquarters, Xiaomi Technology Park. The phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 180.6%, supports dual 5G cards, and has a 100-megapixel triple camera. It is priced at 19,999 yuan and is expected to go on sale at the end of December. Xiaomi officials said this afternoon that the first batch of prototypes of the MIX Alpha 5G surround screen concept phone have arrived at 16 Xiaomi stores.
The 16 retail stores where users can experience the MIX Alpha 5G surround screen concept phone include:
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha 5G concept phone adopts a surround screen design, eliminating the handset, front camera, and side buttons of the phone, leaving only 2.15mm of space on the chin and forehead; its side can display battery power, system-related information, and notification information. The antennas on both sides are driven by dual display chips, both support pressure sensing, and have built-in side linear motors. The entire screen adopts a surround-shaped layered bonding and screw-in assembly technology. At the same time, flexible under-screen fingerprint, ultrasonic distance sensing and other technologies are also available.
The Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G concept phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, supports 5G dual-SIM full network access, has 12GB of memory, and uses UFS 3.0 particles for internal storage. The storage space is 512GB. The battery uses a 4050mAh nano-silicon negative electrode battery, supports 40W wired flash charging, and has a 1.0cc super-large sound cavity.
The Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G concept phone is equipped with Samsung's 108-megapixel ultra-high-definition main camera. The camera's photosensitivity size is 1/1.33 inches, the aperture is F/1.69, the pixel area is 1.6μm, and it can directly output 12032×9024 pixel images. The original image size can reach 40MB, and it also supports OIS four-axis optical image stabilization.
