Recently, Trump not only said that he would not impose new tariffs on Chinese exports, but also allowed American companies to continue selling products to Huawei. Trump also revealed that the Huawei issue would be left to the end of the trade negotiations.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump's statement quickly sparked concerns as both Democratic and Republican lawmakers in the United States believe Huawei is a major threat to U.S. national security.

As a typical maker of the "China threat theory", Senator Marco Rubio repeated his old tricks and said on Twitter that if the US government makes concessions, he will pass legislation to maintain the current restrictions on Huawei.

Previously, Rubio claimed that Huawei was a patent troll and proposed an amendment bill to try to prevent Huawei from inflicting damages through the U.S. Patent Court.

Senator Lindsey Graham said that if this is a major concession, the US government will face a lot of resistance; but if it is a small concession, it will only be a small part of the whole deal.

Larry Kudlow, director of the White House National Economic Council, reportedly said the U.S. government will continue to closely monitor projects related to national security. "This is not an amnesty. Huawei will remain on the so-called entity list, where there are strict export controls."
