China Mobile Research Institute, ZTE and Qualcomm complete end-to-end verification of 5G Advanced high- and low-band NR-CA, achieving 9Gbps rate milestone
Recently, China Mobile Research Institute, ZTE and Qualcomm Technologies have cooperated to verify the 5G Advanced high-low frequency multi-carrier aggregation solution, successfully demonstrating the high-speed experience under the new NR-CA combination . This verification uses the 800MHz bandwidth of the ultra-high frequency band and the 100MHz bandwidth of the 2.6GHz low frequency band for carrier aggregation, and for the first time uses the 1024QAM high-order modulation method to achieve a new breakthrough of a single-user downlink peak rate of 9Gbps.
The three parties jointly achieved end-to-end NR-CA technology verification using a smartphone form factor terminal equipped with a Snapdragon® X80 5G modem and RF system, and ZTE's high-performance ultra-large bandwidth millimeter wave AAU device.

5G Advanced can improve 5G connection capabilities in terms of speed, latency, capacity, etc. The technical features such as NR-CA and 1024QAM verified by the three parties this time will help promote the development of new applications such as live broadcasting, extended reality (XR), ultra-low latency and ultra-high-definition video, and bring users a new immersive audio-visual experience.
China Mobile, ZTE and Qualcomm Technologies continue to cooperate to promote the evolution of 5G. This verification marks that the three parties have made important progress in technological innovation. In the future, the three parties will work with a wider range of partners to continue to promote 5G Advanced technology and business innovation, and provide strong support for the development and value creation of the global 5G industry.
