On January 5, Honor officially released the high-speed home smart Wi-Fi 6 router - the new Honor Router 4. Based on the powerful CPU+NPU solution of Qualcomm's immersive home networking platform, Honor Router 4 focuses on "AI high-speed connectivity", allowing users to enjoy 8K ultra-clear movies and enjoy the smooth AI game acceleration experience at home, so that the whole family can easily access the Internet without lag, meeting the ever-increasing wireless networking needs of home users.
With the advent of the "Internet of Everything" era, the types and number of smart terminals in the home environment are becoming increasingly diverse, and home office, entertainment, education, social and other scenarios are becoming more diverse. Strong application demand has pushed people to put forward higher requirements for home network performance. Qualcomm's immersive home networking platform can help users easily achieve gigabit wireless connection covering the whole house, and help networked device manufacturers including Honor to create Wi-Fi 6 terminals with both high performance and differentiated features, bringing users a seamless immersive home networking experience and calmly dealing with complex home network environments.
The newly released Honor Router 4 uses Qualcomm's immersive home networking platform. As a performance-focused consumer-grade Wi-Fi 6 router, it has leading performance in hardware configuration, network speed, multi-device connection performance, and gaming experience. Honor Router 4 uses 256MB of memory. With the support of Qualcomm's immersive home networking platform, it supports multi-stream Wi-Fi 6 configuration in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and supports 160MHz channels in the 5GHz band. Dual-band concurrency can bring a total available rate of up to 3000 Mbps.
At the same time, it supports up to 256 terminal accesses and 128 devices' data concurrency. With the support of a dedicated network processor NPU, it can handle network data forwarding tasks more intelligently, making the Honor Router 4's network peak rate more stable, supporting faster data forwarding processing speeds, and in multi-user access scenarios, it can still provide a stable high-speed Internet experience, even when watching 8K movies online. In addition, the support of NPU can fully unleash the CPU performance, allowing the CPU to perform AI recognition and intelligent acceleration when processing games and other services, achieving lower and more stable latency performance, giving players a smooth gaming experience.
Currently, the new Honor Router 4 is available for pre-sale on Honor Mall and major e-commerce platforms, and will be officially launched on January 12.
