Siemens S7300 series PLC uses MPI to Ethernet module to realize 300PLC serial port to Ethernet communication. The PLC used in this case is 315-2DP. This model of PLC has two communication interfaces, namely MPI and DP ports.
First, connect the 300PLC to the Xingda Easy Control MPI to Ethernet module MPI-ETH-XD1.0 through ModbusTCP or S7TCP and communicate with the host computer configuration software group"
1. Create a new project and open it, right-click the IOServer Application Group and select Add New IOServer Application.
In the pop-up dialog box, enter the Application Name and click OK.
1. Select "Device", right-click in the blank area on the right, and select "New".
2. Enter a name in "Device Name" and click "Next".
3. Select "S7_TCP" for "Acquisition Driver" and "Ethernet" for "Link Type", and click "Next".

The default "Link Logical Name" can be used and click "Next".
5. Select "S7-300 (TCP)" for "Device Series" and the format of "Device Address" is: IP address of MPI-ETH-XD1.0:0:2. Here, the IP address of MPI-ETH-XD1.0 is 192.168.1.188. Click "Next".

Other parameters are left as default until completion.
