Summary: Learning is a process of exploration, which especially requires technology. If you have hardware support and follow the guidance videos to learn, your learning progress will be very fast. Of course, you also need to draw inferences from one example to another. Learn the easy ones first, and then upgrade step by step. In this way, a novice can be upgraded to a master.

Stepper motors are a very common type of motor in our electrician work scenarios. Stepper motors are mainly used for positioning, etc. Although we are common in stepper motors, and sometimes we often wire them, we know to connect A+, A-, B+, B-, and then plug in 485, but there are still many masters who don’t know how to connect the driver and how to connect to the PLC. Today we will explain the entire wiring process.

The stepper motor is connected to the driver wiring.

There are 4, 5 or 6 wires coming out of the stepper motor, but 4 wires are the most commonly used. The four wires are red, blue, green and black, and the default corresponding meanings are A+, A-, B+ and B-. You need to look at the label of the stepper motor for details. The color and wiring number of the wires are marked on the label, and you can connect the wires according to the label.

The driver is connected to the stepper motor and the PLC respectively.

The stepper motor needs to receive a pulse before it can rotate. The driver controls the speed and direction of the motor. By adjusting the control parameters of the driver, the speed and direction of the motor can be controlled to meet different industrial needs. PLC can send pulses through the driver to expand the control of the stepper motor to improve the accuracy and stability of the motor. The stepper motor driver can improve the accuracy and stability of the motor, making the motor more accurate and stable when working.

After all the hardware preparations are completed, we need to write a program to control the precise movement of the stepper motor. The following is the control program.

Procedure Step 2

After the program is written, download the program and check the circuit. If there is no problem, the stepper motor can be controlled.
