On June 17, OpenCloudOS is an open source and neutral domestic operating system community. After months of development and testing, the OpenCloudOS community officially announced today that it has achieved adaptation support between OpenCloudOS and the Linux native version of WeChat with the WeChat team.

According to official introduction, the OpenCloudOS team conducted detailed communication with the WeChat development team and WeChat security team, and learned about some challenging difficulties in adapting WeChat to the Linux system.

Take RPM packaging as an example. Before this, WeChat only carried out adaptation work for Debian operating systems. In this developer, the OpenCloudOS community cooperated with the WeChat team to provide them with RPM packaging solutions, so that RPM package production can be carried out in a pipeline manner in the future.

To address the login restriction issue, the teams from both sides developed a hardware information library and a corresponding back-end authentication service. They also underwent multiple rounds of internal testing and external small-scale testing, and handled various situations encountered by users of physical and virtual machines one by one.

After OpenCloudOS supports the Linux native version of WeChat, users can use WeChat on OpenCloudOS for information exchange, office, convenient services, public account interaction and other functions, including:

1. Scan the QR code to log in

2. Message sending and receiving and operation

3. File and picture transfer

4. Audio and video calls

5. Browse the video account and take a look at the function

6. Open the WeChat applet
