As industrial automation moves closer to intelligence, scientific and technological workers continue to make breakthroughs. In recent years, the use of Industrial Ethernet (Profinet) and inverter communication has been very widespread in the transmission field. Today we will briefly introduce the debugging of Siemens G120 inverter on the TIA Portal platform.
We have TIA V16 installed on our computer (this debugging case is based on TIA V16, but other versions are also possible). This requires the installation of a motor driver file named "Startdrive", which needs to correspond to the corresponding TIA version, as shown in the following figure:
After installing Startdrive, we restart the TIA Portal and get the following interface:
If you cannot find the G120 inverter IP, you can open the project tree and pull down "Online Access" to find the network card connected to the TIA Portal (in this case, it is Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Connector"). You need to select the right computer network card here, otherwise the connection
If you need to change the IP address of the G120 inverter, but you don't know the actual IP address, you can click "Online and Diagnose". The premise is that the G120 inverter needs to be powered on and the communication cable plugged in.
After setting the IP address in the figure above, you also need to assign a Profinet device name to the G120 inverter:
After assigning the device name, we disconnect the diagnostic network above and add a G120 driver in the "Add New Device" column in the project tree on the left:
Add method:
First add the control unit (G120 CU240E-2PN). Note that the firmware version must be selected correctly, otherwise it cannot be downloaded. Add the power unit again:
The added power unit also needs to be consistent with the actual power unit parameters, otherwise it cannot be downloaded into the inverter. After adding, the compilation is error-free and can be downloaded to the G120 inverter. Here you can view the inverter parameters in "Parameters":
What we are talking about now is also the most critical step of this course - debugging, which is in the "Parameters" under "Online and Diagnosis" of the G120 inverter:
If you are not familiar with debugging software, you can select "Debug Wizard" to debug, which is simpler, faster and less prone to errors:
After the above steps, the inverter parameters are set and we can download them to the G120 inverter:
After the parameters are downloaded, disconnect the power supply to the inverter. After 1-2 minutes, power it on again. The inverter parameter settings will take effect. Now we test the inverter:
Find "Control Panel" under "Debug", activate debugging, and in the pop-up dialog box, set the debugging time you need in "Monitoring Time". Note that the unit is MS. Finally, click "Apply" to activate the control panel.
Since there is no towing motor in this debugging, there is no current display. If you have the conditions, you can also find a motor to tow the G120 inverter.
The above is a brief introduction to using TIA Portal software motor driver to debug the inverter. Friends who have the conditions can also try it. Thank you for reading.
