The damped oscillatory wave generator provides an ideal and standardized basis for evaluating the damped oscillatory wave immunity of electrical and electronic equipment for household, commercial and industrial use. The instrument can simulate repetitive damped oscillatory waves on power cables, control and signal cables in high and medium voltage substations.
The damped oscillating wave generator is mainly composed of a high voltage source, a charging resistor, a storage capacitor, a high voltage switch and a waveform network. The coupling and decoupling network consists of a coupling network and a decoupling network, and is used for acceptance tests of AC and DC power ports. The capacitive coupling clamp consists of a coupling clamp and coaxial connectors at both ends, and is used for acceptance tests of connecting wires on input, output and communication ports.
In the JJF2016- Damped Oscillatory Wave Simulator Calibration Specification, we are required to calibrate the damped oscillatory wave host, coupling and decoupling network and capacitive coupling clamp when calibrating the electrical fast transient pulse group generator.
In the calibration of the damped oscillation wave simulator host, the damped oscillation wave simulator host should be set to coaxial output mode, the oscilloscope impedance should be set to 50Ω, the host and oscilloscope should be connected with a connecting line and attenuator, and the oscilloscope should be adjusted so that a complete pulse rising edge waveform is displayed in the center of the screen. When the oscillation frequency is set to 3MHZ, 10MHZ and 30MHZ respectively, the short-circuit current peak value under different voltage settings is measured.
In the calibration of the coupling decoupling network of the damped oscillating wave simulator, the coupling decoupling network is connected to the attenuator through a connection adapter, and the connection between the output end of the coupling decoupling network and the connection adapter should be as short as possible. The short-circuit current peaks under different voltage settings are measured when the oscillation frequency is set to 3MHZ, 10MHZ and 30MHZ respectively. Change the power line coupling output line, repeat the above process, and measure the short-circuit current peaks of the power line coupled to different lines.
In the calibration of the capacitive coupling clamp of the damped oscillation wave simulator, the capacitive coupling clamp is connected to the attenuator through a connection adapter, the connection adapter is well grounded, and the connection between the output end of the coupling decoupling network and the connection adapter should be as short as possible. The damped oscillation wave simulator is set to coaxial mode output, the voltage value is set to 2KV as required, the input impedance of the oscilloscope is set to 50Ω, the oscilloscope is adjusted so that a complete pulse waveform is displayed in the center of the screen, and the oscillation frequencies are set to 3MHZ, 10MHZ and 30MHZ respectively to measure the open circuit voltage peak.
