In the actual project application process, PLC+HMI (touch screen) is often used in combination. In this section, we will introduce the connection methods of PLC and touch screen in three different situations. Whether there is hardware or not, I believe this section can provide help to readers.

No PLC and touch screen hardware
①Create a "start-stop" program in the PLC software and put the program in simulation state;
②Create two buttons and a light in GT Designer3;
③Click Tools-Simulator-Settings;
④Select GX Simulator3 in the connection method;

There is PLC hardware, but no touch screen hardware
①Use the RS485 to USB conversion module to connect the PLC and the computer. The wiring method is as shown in the figure;
② Click Tools - Simulator - Settings, and set the connection method according to the figure below. Note: The communication port should be found in the device manager.

With PLC and touch screen hardware
① Use a network cable to connect. Open the PLC software, enter the Ethernet settings, set the PLC IP address, then enter the object link settings, add the touch screen, most of the touch screens select SLMP devices, select and drag in the right column;
② In GT Designer3, change the touch screen's IP address to be in the same network segment as FX5U;
③ Click System on the left side of the software, connect to the machine settings, CH1: MELSEC IQ-F, click Ethernet settings, add the PLC IP address and port number, and keep them consistent with ① settings.
