The variable frequency/industrial frequency circuit controlled by relays is complicated, but it is relatively simple to use PLC control. The variable frequency/industrial frequency automatic switching circuit controlled by PLC is shown in Figure 2-1.
The control requirements of this circuit are as follows. ① Main circuit. KM1—the front end of the inverter is connected to the power grid; KM2—the rear end of the inverter is connected to the motor; KM3—the motor is directly connected to the power grid. ② Interlock protection. KM2 and KM3 cannot be connected at the same time during the switching process, and interlock protection is required through programs and circuits. ③ Delay of variable frequency-power frequency switching. The variable frequency circuit is disconnected, and after a delay, the power frequency circuit is connected. ④ Control of the inverter. RP—frequency setting; KA1—control operation; KA2—control reset; 30A, 30B—output alarm signal. ⑤ PLC control. SA1—control PLC operation; SA2—power frequency, variable frequency switching; SB1, SB2—main circuit connection and disconnection buttons; SB3, SB4—inverter operation and stop buttons; SB5—inverter reset button. ⑥ Alarm and protection. HA—alarm bell (controlled by PLC output); HL—alarm signal light (controlled by PLC output); FR—thermal relay (as PLC input).
