However, with the increasing number of cars, fuel and exhaust emissions have become a big problem, because cars rely on gasoline as fuel to start and work, but gasoline is not a renewable energy source and the resource is limited and will eventually run out, so the price of gasoline is getting more and more expensive, and the exhaust emissions from cars using gasoline as fuel are harmful, which will pollute the air and harm people's health.
New energy vehicles have emerged. New energy vehicles refer to vehicles that use electricity and batteries as power sources, have new technologies and new structures, and have the advantages of less pollution, more energy saving and environmental protection. New energy vehicle types include pure electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, etc.
Battery cars and electric cars on the street are new energy vehicles. Besides gasoline-fueled cars, battery cars and electric cars are the most commonly used means of transportation for people to travel. New energy vehicles use power batteries as a driving force. Sensors are the information source of the electronic control system of new energy vehicles and are key components of the electronic control system of pure electric vehicles. They are mainly used to measure temperature and monitor temperature to prevent excessive temperature changes from affecting the electronic system of new energy vehicles.
Commonly used temperature sensors include thermocouple sensors, thermistor sensors, platinum resistance sensors, and integrated temperature sensors. New energy vehicles use thermistor sensors. Thermistors are resistors made of semiconductor ceramic materials that are sensitive to temperature. Their resistance changes with temperature. They are divided into positive temperature coefficient thermistors (PTC thermistors) and negative temperature coefficient thermistors (NTC thermistors) due to different temperature coefficients.
NTC thermistors are used in new energy vehicles due to their accurate temperature measurement, low cost, small size and high sensitivity. NTC thermistors are mainly used in cars for air conditioning temperature control, fuel heating, brake fluid level monitoring, etc.
