Modbus protocol is a universal communication protocol that has been widely used in the field of industrial control today. According to its format, it can be divided into Modbus-RTU, Modbus-ASCII, and Modbus-TCP. The first two are suitable for serial communication control networks, such as RS485, RS232, etc., while Modbus-TCP is mainly used in control networks based on Ethernet TCP/IP communication. Through this protocol, controllers can communicate with each other or with other devices via a network (such as Ethernet).
Many factories need to integrate the data of various types of equipment on site for monitoring and management through a host computer software or device touch screen. Industrial field equipment collects data from multiple devices (such as PLCs, instruments, water and electricity meters of various brands) through the IoT Broadlink gateway.
