IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm 9.30 has fully supported APM32 series MCU chips from Polaris Semiconductor , which are widely used in smart homes, high-end consumer electronics, automotive electronics, industrial control, smart energy and other fields, safeguarding domestic chips.
Shanghai, China—July 13, 2022—IAR Systems, a leading global provider of embedded development software tools and services, recently announced that its latest IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm 9.30 fully supports the APM32 series MCU chips from Aurora Semiconductor.
The high-performance, highly integrated, and low-power APM32 series of industrial/automotive MCUs from JHICC are widely used in smart homes, high-end consumer electronics, automotive electronics, industrial control, smart energy, and other fields with high safety and reliability requirements, and they perform well. This series of MCUs is based on the Arm Cortex-M0+/M3/M4 core, has powerful computing performance and enhanced storage space, has rich co-processing functions and a flexible user experience; it has high security, has passed the IEC61508 functional safety certification and the AEC-Q100 automotive certification, and meets the high reliability standards for industrial control and automotive chips; it also supports rapid migration, which can help users shorten product design time, reduce R&D costs, and optimize product performance.
IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm provides a complete tool chain for Polar Semiconductor MCUs. This includes highly optimized compilers, such as flexible compiler optimization options and powerful optimization performance, which can help achieve optimizations that meet specific needs in different applications; and advanced debugging features, such as flexible code and data breakpoints, runtime stack analysis, and call stack visualization. With the help of code analysis tools C-STAT and C-RUN, developers can improve code quality in daily development. For companies with functional safety requirements, IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm provides a TÜV SÜD-certified version that complies with relevant functional safety specifications. In addition, IAR Systems' technical support, training services, and flexible licensing models enable all customers to find solutions that suit their specific needs and use IAR development tools smoothly.
Kiyo Uemura, Vice President of IAR Systems Asia Pacific, said: "Jihai Semiconductor is a very powerful MCU manufacturer in China. We see that more and more IAR users are using Jihai's chips, not only local Chinese customers, but also many international customers. We are very happy to cooperate with Jihai. With its powerful tool chain, IAR Systems can help Jihai MCU customers maximize the potential of MCU and provide comprehensive tool chain support for Jihai MCU. IAR Systems promises to continue to provide users with the support they need, ensure that customers can use the IAR tool chain for a long time, and obtain technical support services for IAR tools in a timely manner, to provide guarantees for customers' R&D work."
Liu Tao, Product Director of JHI Semiconductor, said: "IAR Systems is a world-leading embedded system development tool and service provider. We are very fortunate to be able to cooperate with IAR Systems. Currently, all JHI APM32 series MCU products on sale have obtained full support from IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm 9.30 , which will help JHI better serve domestic and foreign customers. JHI Semiconductor has always insisted on cooperative innovation with MCU industry ecosystem partners, actively building a complete ecological environment, and providing customers with all-round support from chip hardware to software algorithms, from reference solutions to system design."
