Shanghai, China – June 10, 2022
ADLINK Technology, a leading global provider of edge computing solutions, announced that its subsidiary ZettaScale Technology has received strategic investment from TTTech Auto, a well-known self-driving software company. ZettaScale, located in France, originated from ADLINK Advanced Technology Office, focusing on the development of robotics technology and edge computing . After receiving funding from TTTech Auto, ZettaScale will be able to promote the application of autonomous driving and Internet of Vehicles software.
"The separation of ADLINK and ZettaScale Technology is one of the company's most important strategies for 2022," said Jun Liu, Chairman of ADLINK. "ZettaScale is now an independent company with a solid foundation in key edge computing markets, including transportation, robotics, and mission-critical systems. TTTech is a key ally of ours. Our two companies have complementary technologies and the same vision and goals. Together, we will provide customers with secure, robust, and reliable systems to impact the physical world."
The collaboration between TTTech Auto and ZettaScale Technology includes an investment by TTTech Auto in ZettaScale Technology and the jointly developed autonomous driving software platform MotionWise, which will be used to develop flexible and safe applications and support after-sales application updates to extend the life cycle of the vehicle. The first product of this collaboration is Europe's first ISO 26262 safety-certified Data Distributed Service (OMG DDS) for mass-produced vehicles. MotionWise Cyclone DDS network protocol provides comprehensive real-time communication for vehicles, ensuring security and high quality of communication. To achieve this goal, ZettaScale combines Cyclone DDS with TTTech Auto's Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and safe real-time software.
“Our vehicle safety software platform MotionWise and Cyclone DDS data disaggregation service are an ideal combination for the future autonomous vehicle market,” said Georg Kopetz, President of TTTech Auto and TTTech Group. “Developed together with ZettaScale, MotionWise Cyclone DDS will enable flexible and secure vehicle applications and rapid deployment. We see ADLINK as a strategic partner that will make a significant contribution to the growth of the edge computing ecosystem in various vertical markets and regions, helping both parties deliver on their promise to customers.”
This collaboration is an excellent strategy of ADLINK in creating a software and hardware partner ecosystem, with the goal of establishing a forward-looking self-driving car value chain. ADLINK's efforts in this regard began with market leadership with ROS and Autoware, and then further established a partnership with AUO in automotive displays and an alliance with ARM in self-driving car hardware development. In the future, TTTech and its TSN key technologies and strategic partners will be brought into this ecosystem.
“We are fortunate to grow under the umbrella of ADLINK, which understands the integration of robotics, AI and physical systems requires reliable middleware and connectivity technologies,” said Angelo Corsaro, President of ZettaScale Technology. “We are excited to have a new partner, TTTech Auto , join us in the next phase of our journey. TTTech Auto’s expertise and vision will align with our mission to bring unlimited connectivity and computing to everyone and every device.”
