(1)Automotive electronic instrument panel testing.
Cars with electronic dashboards are usually controlled by microcomputers and have self-checking functions. As long as a command is given, the electronic controller of the electronic dashboard will conduct a systematic check on its main display device. If a fault occurs, it will warn the driver in different ways, display the system fault, and store the fault code of the faulty part so that the fault code can be called out and the faulty part can be pointed out during maintenance.
(2) Inspection and maintenance of automotive electronic instrument sensors.
Failures in automotive electronic instrument display systems generally occur in sensors, connectors, wires, individual instruments and displays.
The detection of resistive sensors usually uses the method of measuring resistance to determine whether they are good or bad, that is, comparing the measured resistance value with the specified standard resistance value. If the measured resistance value is less than the specified value, it indicates that the sensor is short-circuited; if the resistance value is too large or infinite, it means that the sensor has poor internal contact or is open, and the sensor should be replaced.
(3) Inspection and maintenance of automotive electronic instrument connectors.
Cars with electronic instruments often need many connectors to connect the wire harness to the dashboard. These connectors are usually in different colors to identify which part of the connection it belongs to. To ensure that the connection is reliable and firm, there is no locking device on the connector. You can check it by looking or touching it. The connectors should be complete and intact, and the plugs and sockets should have reliable contact and no rust. When the instrument circuit is working, touch the connector with your hand, and there should be no obvious temperature feeling. If the temperature is too high, it means that the connector has poor contact, and the cause should be found out and eliminated.
(4) Troubleshooting of automotive electronic instruments.
If it is found that a single instrument on the electronic panel is faulty, check all parts related to the instrument. First, check the connection of each wire, including the contact of each connector, whether the wiring harness is damaged, grounded, short-circuited or open-circuited, etc. If there is a detection equipment, use it to detect the instrument and its sensor respectively to find out the cause of the fault. If it can be repaired, it can be repaired, otherwise it can be replaced with a new part.
(5) Handling of partial stroke and line segment failures on automotive electronic instrument displays.
Once some strokes or segments on the display screen of the electronic instrument panel fail, the display on the instrument panel should be adjusted to a static display state, and carefully observed to see if there are other faults. At this time, the relevant circuits or devices can be carefully checked using detection equipment. If only two strokes or segments are not lit or displayed, it means that the pulse signal transmitted by the logic circuit board through multiple channels is correct, and some segments of the display device may not work properly. In this case, further inspection should be carried out. If there is a poor contact, it should be tightened to ensure that the circuit is unobstructed. If it is a problem with the electronic device itself, the display device or display circuit board should usually be replaced.
