Beijing, China – Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today introduced the ADI EagleEye™ ADSW4000 people counting algorithm for detecting and counting people in indoor spaces such as meeting rooms or offices. ADSW4000 is the first in a series of application-level software algorithms that are part of the ADI EagleEye platform, which also includes hardware subsystems based on ADI Blackfin® embedded digital signal processors (DSPs) and a set of application-level software building blocks that enable users to quickly develop their own people counting systems. The ADSW4000 algorithm provides system edge node analytics that can improve space utilization with useful insights, ensure personnel safety through distance monitoring, and improve energy efficiency in smart building spaces.
ADSW4000 Key Features:
• People counting algorithms for indoor areas, such as conference rooms or office cubicles
oOccupancy status
o Person location (x and y coordinates)
• Regional performance (multiple regions to cover a larger area)
• Edge-side processing
oOutput metadata via UART
oDo not send captured images
• Coverage area with best accuracy of 90%: 3 m radius
• Maximum coverage area (80% accuracy): 5 m radius
