(3) System monitoring is more convenient and intelligent.
The FBP system enables operators to more conveniently access the working status of the field station at any time and adjust control parameters, such as motor current, temperature and other parameters, to ensure the normal operation of the motor.
(4) Plug and Play (P&P) system expansion.
Because FBP adopts a "hand-in-hand" connection method, users can expand and insert the required monitoring objects at any link as needed.

In Figure 5, the FBP system uses the PDQ22 device with integrated Profibus protocol. Profibus and other field buses use the standard RS485 method, and the number of master/slave stations per segment is limited to 32. If more devices need to be connected, a repeater is required. Using PDQ22, each device can be connected to the Profibus DP bus, but as a node in the bus, the number of bus nodes can be saved. It has the following characteristics:
Up to 4 FBP adapters can be used at one bus node;
Reliable system concept: detect device failures, indicate bus and device status;
Simple system integration: Free access to parameter, operating and diagnostic data of connected devices; integrated maintenance management.
5. ABB FBP bus adapter is used in software configuration of intelligent motor controller
PS501 programming software is used in this system. It is based on ABB Codesys V2.3 programming software as the development environment, conforms to the international standard of ICE61131-3, and supports six programming languages: statement list (IL), ladder diagram (LD), function block (FBD), sequential function chart (SFC), structured text (ST), and continuous function chart (CFC). It can complete the entire setting of the AC500 system, including all field buses and interfaces, and also has comprehensive diagnostic functions, alarm processing, integrated visualization functions and open data interfaces.

6. Conclusion
Since the concept of FBP does not create a new bus, but makes use of multiple existing fieldbuses, it is an open system, so FBP can be suitable for any PLC system. When connecting automation equipment to the fieldbus and power supply bus, the connectors used are standard products that are ready and can be plugged in, so there is no need to cut, isolate and prepare the cables. The introduction of the FBP concept effectively separates electrical equipment and communication functions, and realizes barrier-free communication between PLC systems and electrical equipment. Electrical engineers no longer need to worry about the design of communication networks, and they don’t even need to consider the different bus interfaces required by different DCS suppliers, all of which are due to FBP’s plug-and-play bus prefabricated plugs and rich bus types.
