China's automobile industry is facing a profound change that has not been seen in a century. Electrification

The electrification of automobiles refers to the change from fuel as the main power source to power batteries as the main power source. New energy electric vehicles are becoming more and more well-known to the public for their advantages such as no pollution, low noise and simple structure. Therefore, research on power battery technology that can improve the cruising range or research on controllable engine control methods to provide a good carrier for autonomous driving vehicles is the first step to achieve autonomous driving.

 

Intelligent

When the electrification of automobiles achieves a technological breakthrough, intelligent technology needs to make a breakthrough. The intelligence here mainly refers to single-vehicle intelligence, which is also a manifestation of advanced assisted driving. Although many brands of vehicles are now equipped with advanced assisted driving systems, they have only achieved partial autonomous driving of L2 and L3, and there is still a long way to go before L5 autonomous driving. The improvement of single-vehicle intelligent technology provides technical reserves and possibilities for the realization of autonomous driving. Gradually improving the technology of single-vehicle intelligence and realizing autonomous driving under single-vehicle intelligence step by step is a transition to achieving L5 level autonomous driving and an indispensable solution. Therefore, automobile intelligence is a necessary stage for the realization of autonomous driving.

 

Networking

The autonomous driving of a single vehicle is far from guaranteeing the true realization of autonomous driving. When a car is driving on the road, it is not just a simple drive from one area to another, but also to observe the changing road environment. Now human drivers need to pay attention to changes in the road at all times while driving. If this task is entirely handed over to the car, the accuracy of road environment recognition needs to be explored. The realization of networking may help single-vehicle intelligence to more efficiently identify road conditions. Networking is intelligent networking. Through V2X (vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-pedestrian, vehicle-to-road, etc.) technology, the changing road information is transmitted to the car that has realized the intelligence of a single vehicle, so that the vehicle can be informed in advance and give corresponding feedback in advance while driving on the road, which can make autonomous driving safer and more efficient, and can also promote traffic management and improve driving efficiency. The era of autonomous driving must be inseparable from networking.

 

Sharing

After the emergence of shared bicycles, the concept of sharing has gradually become known to the public. However, with the demise of companies like OFO, the concept of sharing has become less and less popular. However, with the advent of the era of autonomous driving, the concept of sharing may be mentioned again. If a car can achieve autonomous driving, it can drive on the road by itself. After delivering one person to the destination, it can continue to complete the delivery task of another person. This can save more parking space development needs, reduce vehicle production, and maximize resource utilization.

 

The "new four modernizations" of automobiles may be the optimal path for the development of autonomous driving. First, through the development of "electrification", a good carrier is provided for autonomous driving vehicles. Then, "intelligence" is developed to provide technical reserves for autonomous driving. Then, "networking" is developed to provide higher safety guarantees for the emergence of autonomous driving.
