Causes and measures for insufficient torque of conical rotor electric motor
(1) The spring force is reduced. The spring should be replaced.
(2) The brake ring is worn too much. Replace it with a new one.
(3) The brake ring is loose. Tighten the loose parts.
Causes and measures for overheating of stator windings of conical rotor motors
Because the motor is started and stopped frequently, the brake spring becomes over-tired and softens, causing the pressure to drop and the braking torque to decrease, and cannot balance the axial magnetic pull of the motor during operation, causing the stator and rotor to rub against each other, generating a lot of heat, causing the motor to overheat and, in severe cases, burn out the winding.
To prevent such accidents, you should pay attention to strengthening the adjustment of the air gap at ordinary times, and replace the spring immediately if you find that it becomes soft.
Causes and measures for starting difficulties of conical rotor motors
(1) The brake ring is rusted, so that the dynamic and static brake rings cannot be completely separated, resulting in friction resistance. Use fine sandpaper to polish the brake ring to remove the rust; if the rust is serious, the brake ring should be replaced.
(2) The spring pressure is too large, so that the magnetic pull of the motor cannot overcome its elastic force. The dynamic brake ring does not open or cannot be fully opened. Adjust or replace the spring.
(3) The gap between the dynamic and static brake rings is too small. When fully opened, there is still partial contact and friction. Adjust the gap to an appropriate value.
