The importance of regular maintenance of explosion-proof motors
During trial production and finalization, explosion-proof motors are subject to explosion-proof inspection by explosion-proof inspection units. The drawings and documents are subject to explosion-proof review, the prototypes are subject to explosion-proof tests, and only after obtaining explosion-proof certificates and production licenses are they allowed to be put into production and sold. Explosion-proof motors produced by explosion-proof motor manufacturers are allowed to leave the factory only after they have passed the prescribed factory inspection and type test. Therefore, generally speaking, the explosion-proof safety performance of explosion-proof motors meets the standard requirements. However, explosion-proof motors will be damaged to varying degrees during use due to mechanical, chemical and other effects.
For example, during operation, the flameproof housing may be impacted and cracked or deformed, the bearing may be worn or damaged due to poor lubrication, the stator winding may age due to long-term heat and chemical media, or may be broken down due to high voltage impact, the motor may be overloaded for a long time and the winding may overheat or even burn out, and the explosion-proof joint surface of the flameproof housing may be rusted and damaged due to humidity in the coal mine, etc. Therefore, the faulty motor should be repaired or repaired.
Contents of daily maintenance of explosion-proof motors
1. Daily inspection and maintenance of explosion-proof motors
1. Observe the operating conditions of the explosion-proof motor and transmission parts, pay attention to any abnormal sounds and vibrations, and eliminate abnormal conditions in time.
2. Check the lubrication condition and pay attention to whether the explosion-proof motor bearing is operating normally.
3. Keep it clean, remove dust and debris, do not allow foreign matter to cover the explosion-proof motor, keep the heat dissipation surface and ventilation air path unobstructed, and do not allow water droplets, dirt, etc. to fall into the explosion-proof motor.
4. Pay attention to whether the surrounding environment is humid and whether it has any effect on the explosion-proof motor
2. Regular inspection items for explosion-proof motors
1. Check whether the fastening screws are loose.
2. Check whether the switches, protective devices and circuits are intact and whether the cable circuits are damaged.
3. Is the brush sliding intact, is the pressure normal, and does the brush need to be replaced if it is worn?
4. Remove accumulated debris and keep the heat dissipation surface or air passage unobstructed.
5. Is the insulation resistance of the explosion-proof motor qualified?
6. Are the capacitors and their wiring abnormal?
7. Is the grounding device intact?
3. Annual specific inspection of explosion-proof motors
1. Repair and replace grease, and replace worn bearings
2. Check whether the switches and protective devices are active and whether the setting parameters meet the requirements.
3. If the insulation resistance of the explosion-proof motor is low, dry it and bury it.
4. Check and clean the operating environment of the explosion-proof motor and remove dust and debris
5. Check the rust and corrosion conditions and perform anti-rust treatment
6. The transmission is somewhat worn, and defective parts should be replaced
7. Repair or replace worn motors and adjust brush pressure
8. Disassemble and repair according to actual situation
9. Open the bearing cover to check the bearing condition and grease, oil quality and oil quantity, and add oil if necessary.
10. Clean, inspect and repair slip rings, brushes, brush holders, etc.
11. Disassemble the motor, remove the core, inspect and clean it.
12. Check whether the electrical connections are loose or defective and test the insulation resistance of the motor and cables.
13. During the above work, all dismantled explosion-proof surfaces must be cleaned, derusted, coated with anti-rust oil, and the integrity of the explosion-proof surfaces must be checked.
