Explosion-proof grade of explosion-proof motor
1) Classification of safety levels for different electrical equipment in explosive gas areas (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2). For example, the selection of rotating motors is divided into flameproof type (code d), positive pressure type (p), increased safety type (e), and spark-free type (n).
2) The levels of explosive mixtures of gases or vapors are divided into three types: ⅡA, ⅡB, and ⅡC. These levels are mainly divided according to the maximum experimental safety gap (MESG) or the minimum ignition current (MICR).
3) The temperature grouping for igniting a certain medium. Mainly divided into T1-450℃〈T, T2-300〈T≤450℃, T3-200〈T≤300℃, T4-135〈T≤200℃, T5-100〈T≤135, T6-85〈T≤100℃.
Insulation level of explosion-proof motor
The insulation grade of a motor refers to the heat resistance grade of the insulating material used, which is divided into A, E, B, F, and H. The allowable temperature rise refers to the limit of the motor's temperature increase compared to the ambient temperature.
The basis for the classification of motor insulation grades is based on the allowable limit temperature of the insulation material used in the motor. There are several grades such as Y, A, E, B, F, H, and C. The allowable limit temperature of each grade is shown in the following table. The so-called allowable limit temperature refers to the maximum allowable operating temperature of the motor insulation material, which reflects the heat resistance of the insulation material. Insulation materials are divided into 7 grades according to their heat resistance, namely Y, A, E, B, F, H, and C, and their limit operating temperatures are 90, 105, 120, 130, 155, 180°C, and above 180°C respectively.
