CATL and Yibin City signed an all-round deepening cooperation agreement. Based on the good cooperation in the early stage, the two parties will work together to build CATL's southwest headquarters, production base, industrial ecological system, international training center, new energy college and new energy industry fund.
It is understood that the deepening cooperation agreement signed by the two parties this time will focus on the comprehensive construction of CATL's Southwest Center in Yibin Sanjiang New District, and build CATL's Southwest Operations Headquarters and R&D Center around Sichuan Times' production base and industrial chain.

Since September 2019, CATL and Yibin City have successively signed the Sichuan Times Power Battery Phase I to Phase VI projects, with a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan and an area of about 3,000 acres. On June 17 this year, the Sichuan Times Power Battery Phase I project was officially put into operation in the Eastern Industrial Park of Yibin Sanjiang New District. The commissioning of the Phase I project has become an important milestone for CATL to build a world-class new energy vehicle power battery research and development and production base in Yibin. It is worth mentioning that the two parties have also decided to invest in the construction of the Sichuan Times Phase 7, 8, 9, and 10 projects in Yibin Sanjiang New District to accelerate Yibin's construction into the world's largest power battery production base and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results for both parties.
In addition, in order to accelerate the training of talents in the power battery industry in Yibin, the two parties will jointly build the CATL International Training Center and Conference Center, and strive to promote the construction of the power battery industry talent team and provide intellectual and talent support for industrial development.
