At present, the company has established three major industrial bases in Changzhou, Luoyang, and Xiamen. The company has a professional R&D organization dedicated to the research and development and application of key power battery technologies, and to creating a lithium battery technology innovation platform with global influence. At present, the company has a planned production capacity of more than 120 GWh, and is making every effort to build a world-leading power battery manufacturer and a strategic supplier to outstanding global automobile companies.
Statistics show that AVIC Lithium Battery has become an important battery supplier for the main models of Dongfeng, Changan, GAC, Geely and other automakers, and replaced CATL as the largest supplier of power batteries for GAC passenger cars in 2019. Therefore, in the overall environment where the domestic power battery installation volume has declined significantly, in addition to LG Chem and Panasonic, AVIC Lithium Battery has also achieved counter-cyclical growth among the top 10 companies in my country in terms of power battery installation volume in the first half of the year, with a year-on-year increase of 53.6%.
Looking at the whole year of 2020, AVIC Lithium Battery has expanded its cooperation areas to five models of Changan New Energy and four models of GAC New Energy, with stable orders throughout the year. It is expected that the company's full-year performance will increase significantly year-on-year. In addition, AVIC Lithium Battery has in-depth connections with outstanding domestic and foreign automakers such as FAW, BAIC, SAIC, Volkswagen, and Daimler, laying a solid foundation for further expanding its market share in the future.
In addition, in the field of commercial vehicles, AVIC Lithium Battery has also regrouped and is ready to go. In August, it provided support for Dongfeng Motor's special vehicles, and in recent new car announcements, it provided lithium iron phosphate batteries for new energy buses of three companies, Suzhou Jinlong, Xiamen Jinlong, and Xiamen Jinlong. In the field of energy storage, AVIC Lithium Battery's layout has also begun to show results. Following the 88MWh energy storage power station project in Kunshan, Jiangsu, and the 20MWh energy storage power station in Sanyue, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Power Grid, AVIC Lithium Battery recently won the bid for Pinggao Group's 2020 energy storage project.
In terms of production capacity, AVIC Lithium Battery has two major production bases in Changzhou and Luoyang, and is building a production base in Xiamen, with a planned total production capacity of 20 GWh. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of the year. After the construction of the three bases is completed, the planned total production capacity will exceed 100 GWh.
