When it comes to Panda Electronics, the first thing that comes to mind must be the old-fashioned TV at home. However, today's "Panda" has become a provider and service provider of advanced intelligent manufacturing equipment, system integration, and overall solutions. For example, the glass used to produce LCD screens is about 0.3-0.4mm thick and covers an area of about 5.5 square meters. Such large and thin glass cannot be handled manually at all, and "Panda" is a manufacturer that provides intelligent automated handling equipment. The
automated production line in the factory has become a key industry that "Panda" has prioritized in the development of intelligent manufacturing in recent years. Panda Electronics has invested more than 1 billion yuan in the research and development of factory automation equipment, and has the Jiangsu Enterprise Technology Center and the Jiangsu (Panda) Robot Engineering Technology Research Center.

At present, the key research and development direction of Panda Intelligent Manufacturing is the automation system equipment of new flat panel display factories and the intelligent manufacturing production line system equipment of liquid crystal glass factories, providing and implementing intelligent manufacturing system solutions. It has successively undertaken and completed the Nanjing China Electronics Panda G6 LCD panel production line, G8.5 LCD panel production line and Rainbow Group LCD glass substrate production line.
It is worth mentioning that the intelligent manufacturing workshop of liquid crystal glass substrate of Rainbow (Hefei) Glass Co., Ltd. is the intelligent management system project with completely independent intellectual property rights undertaken by Panda Company, which has passed the acceptance of the "three ministries" of the state. In 2015, the project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the first batch of national intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects, which has a demonstration effect on process and discrete manufacturing type enterprises such as domestic electronic glass manufacturing industry and electronic parts and complete machine manufacturing industry, especially for the intelligent manufacturing upgrade of domestic discrete manufacturing enterprises with high energy consumption.
Speaking of the intelligent manufacturing workshop of liquid crystal glass substrates, Xia Dechuan said: "In recent years, in terms of glass substrate purification workshops, 'Panda' has provided domestic factories with billions of equipment, completely breaking the foreign technology monopoly."
In addition to making a complete set of automation solutions, 'Panda' will also have a large investment in core components and equipment. Currently, there is a research and development team of nearly 30 people in Tokyo, Japan, mainly employing local Japanese experts, and there is also a research and development team of nearly 200 people in Nanjing.

The vision is to achieve an annual operating income of 10 billion yuan and become a benchmark enterprise for "Made in China 2025".
In addition to being a provider of intelligent manufacturing equipment and services, Xia Dechuan said: "'Panda' itself is a large electronics company. We are not only a provider and solution provider of intelligent factory solutions. Starting this year, we will also gradually carry out intelligent transformation of the old traditional manufacturing factories under 'Panda'.
