Huawei is really going to launch a monitor, and its corresponding trademarks have been obtained. As for the price, this 240Hz, mini LED screen has such a high-end configuration that the price will definitely not be cheap. The other two models are expected to start at around 1,000 yuan.
According to Dutch media reports, Huawei has obtained two trademarks from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on August 13, 2020, namely "MateDisplay" and "MateScreen". Both trademarks are classified as Class 9.
The descriptions of the two trademarks are as follows: computer; laptop computer; tablet computer; mobile phone; smart phone; smart watch; liquid crystal display; flat panel display; LED display; OLED display panel; computer monitor; television monitor; head-mounted video display; wearable video display.
Some time ago, the national 3C certification also showed information about Huawei monitors, such as confirming the use of LCD screens provided by BOE (Hefei BOE Video Technology Cable Company). The models include AD80HN, AD80HW, and AD80**, covering low-end, mid-end, and high-end. The highest-end version supports 240Hz high refresh rate and mini LED technology.
According to previous statements, Huawei monitors include high-end, mid-range and low-end, covering all at once. They have been tested for more than a year. One of them is 32 inches and uses 512 or 1024 partitions similar to mini LED backlight. It will also have a special compatibility mode with Huawei and Honor phones and will be included in the Huawei ecosystem.
