According to Korean media Shinailbo and Imaeil, LG Group's industrial companies in the Gumi Industrial Park have begun to transfer their production lines to overseas or the metropolitan area. The relocation of production lines of large companies will drive the migration of the entire industrial chain, which has led to complaints about the reduction in local employment opportunities.

Gumi Economic and Trade Union said in a statement on the 8th: After LG Electronics decided to relocate the Gumi TV production line to Indonesia, LGD also began to negotiate the sale of Gumi 2 and 3 factories. It is believed that LG Group is gradually withdrawing from Gumi.

According to a survey by Economic Daily, LG Electronics relocated some of its TV production lines to Indonesia, causing more than a thousand employees to leave Gumi, and more than a thousand job opportunities will be reduced, including for suppliers. Due to LG Electronics' continued production cuts, the number of employees in the Gumi Industrial Park has dropped from more than 4,000 10 years ago to less than 1,500 now.

In response, an LGD official said: "The Gumi 2nd and 3rd factories were sold after they were in the shutdown stage. They plan to sell them to stable large or medium-sized enterprises, so that the region will have the opportunity to welcome new investment."

According to the statement of Jingshilian, the selling price of Gumi 2 and 3 factories was less than 100 billion won (about 590 million yuan), far less than the book value of 150 billion won (about 880 million yuan).
