It is reported that the US Department of Commerce stated that the restrictive measures against the 33 Chinese companies and institutions listed last month will be officially implemented this Friday.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has added relevant Chinese institutions to the economic blacklist. The measures to be implemented will restrict U.S. companies (including overseas production involving U.S. technology content) from selling products to these institutions. Even if U.S. companies can apply for special licenses, they may still be rejected.
On May 22, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce decided to include a total of 33 Chinese companies and institutions in the "Entity List". After these companies and departments are included in the "Entity List", the U.S. government can restrict exports, imports or re-exports to these institutions in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations.
The 33 new companies include: Beijing Computational Science Research Center, Qihoo 360 Technology Co., Ltd., Harbin Engineering University, Harbin Institute of Technology , CloudWalk Technology, FiberHome Communications and its Nanjing subsidiary FiberHome StarSky, Intelligence, etc. This is not the first time that the United States has taken action against Chinese companies.
