According to the technology blog 9to5Google, Xiaomi is developing a smartwatch that runs Google's Wear OS operating system. In the Wear OS app version 2.28 launched by Google recently, a companion app called "Mi Wear" appeared.

It is understood that Google WearOS allows device manufacturers to provide their own supporting applications on the Android system. In the recent 2.28 version update of WearOS, new support for "Mi Wear" devices has been added. In addition to Mi Wear, the Mi Watch name product also appears in the relevant code, which is very likely to be Xiaomi's smartwatch product.

Earlier news said that Xiaomi smart watches will be launched in October, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon wearable platform, all with NFC as standard, one square and one round.
