The Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition uses a 0.5-inch PMOLED screen, weighing about 6g, and is very small in the hand. This screen is not a touch screen, but only used to display information. All interactions are performed through the circular touch button below the screen.

Most of the existing smart bracelets use X, Y, and Z three-axis coordinate sensors. This sensor can help us measure cycles and steps, but it is difficult to accurately calculate the values of distance, length, and angle, and it is precisely the latter that running and basketball enthusiasts need.
This has prompted Honor to introduce a more accurate six-axis sensor in the Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition. Compared with the three-axis acceleration sensor, the three-axis gyroscope added to the six-axis motion sensor can sense the angular velocity (angle change over time) along the X/Y/Z axis respectively.
Therefore, the six-axis sensor can not only calculate the period of movement, but also the rotation angle of the object in space, so as to better detect the posture changes during movement. For example, 100 posture changes can occur in one second, and the Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition can collect the corresponding 100 data points, including spatial position, posture changes, etc., to form a smooth trajectory, and the measurement effect will be more detailed and accurate than before.
During the test, first wear the Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition on your foot, then manually enter the basketball mode. After the test, the data will be synchronized to the mobile phone APP.
The data recorded during the whole exercise include the number of vertical jumps, vertical jump height, air time, moving speed, exercise duration, distance, calories, number of steps, active time, active time percentage, etc. If you break it down, the vertical jump height can be divided into the maximum vertical jump height, average vertical jump height and each vertical jump height, and the air time can also display the maximum air time, average air time and each air time. 3. Waterproof test
It is worth mentioning that the Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters. It can be worn when showering, swimming in a pool, or swimming in shallow water. It can also withstand daily water stains and splashes.
4. Battery life test
Officials say the Honor Band 5 Basketball Edition supports 21 days of standby and can work for two weeks in typical usage scenarios.
Due to the particularity of the bracelet's battery life, a complete charge and discharge test takes too long, so we only selected two days of usage, starting with 100% battery.
