Some new products revealed at Microsoft's October special event: Surface Pro 7 will have an Arm version

Microsoft will hold a special event in October, at which it will release new products. At present, some of the new products have been exposed.

This week, Microsoft sent out invitations and is scheduled to hold a special event on October 2. The outside world speculated that the protagonist would be Surface, such as Pro 7.

According to foreign media reports, some models of Surface Pro 7 will be upgraded with Intel's 10th-generation Core processors, and there will also be a Snapdragon 8cx version of Windows 10 on ARM. Microsoft chose the Qualcomm platform mainly because of its battery life under LTE.

The Snapdragon 8cx uses a CPU architecture of four super cores (Kryo 495) + four energy-efficient cores, integrates the Adreno 680 GPU and Snapdragon X24 4G baseband, supports DX12, and has a power consumption of 7W.

In addition to the regular upgrades of processor and memory, Surface Pro 7 will also introduce USB-C interface, but retain the Surface Connect dedicated interface again. In addition, the touch screen and Touch Cover experience of Surface Pro 7 will be further optimized and improved, but the details are not yet known.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx is Qualcomm's first processor designed specifically for PCs. The most important thing to know about the Snapdragon 8cx SoC is that it has the first 7nm octa-core Kryo 495 processor released for laptops and Windows tablets. Specifically, the Kryo 495 CPU has a larger memory cache than previous generations, though Qualcomm hasn't revealed exactly how large it is.
