At the Accelerate conference, Lenovo announced its IoT collaboration with Microsoft and showcased its ThinkIoT products powered by Microsoft's Azure cloud platform.
Lenovo said that these products will use Azure SQL Database Edge and solutions built for target vertical industries to help customers with digital transformation. Currently, customers who configure Microsoft Azure solutions for the purpose of promoting the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and data management can use Lenovo's various products, such as the ECP300 edge gateway and IoT510C smart camera, to implement digital transformation.
“More than ever, customers are looking to connect the real and virtual worlds and drive business transformation through IoT and AI solutions. Therefore, it is critical to work with trusted partners who can provide infrastructure and services that can simplify IoT,” said Sam George, president of Microsoft Azure IoT. “Our new collaboration with Lenovo in the IoT space combines Microsoft’s Azure platform with Lenovo’s ThinkIoT solutions (including hardware, software and services) to significantly accelerate the process of creating value for our mutual customers.”
In addition, Lenovo also announced the launch of its sub-brand ThinkReality™, which is a solution-based, integrated software and hardware product for enterprises. It is reportedly part of Lenovo's intelligent business plan, which aims to help corporate employees use augmented reality applications to get assistance, reduce maintenance times, debug, simplify complex workflows, improve training quality, and achieve collaboration.
