On November 18, the latest news came from the Wuhu Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province. The world's first GWh-level new solid-state battery production line was officially settled, which means that solid-state battery technology has officially entered the mass production stage. The project is invested and constructed by Anhui Anwa New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The planned production capacity of the first phase is 5GWh, and the designed production capacity is 1.25GWh. The energy density of the first-generation solid-state battery planned for mass production exceeds 280wh/kg. The second-generation product will be launched in 2025 with an energy density of more than 400wh/kg. The third-generation product will be launched in 2027 with an energy density of more than 500wh/kg. By then, the performance of solid-state batteries will far exceed that of traditional liquid lithium-ion batteries, and it is expected to completely solve the anxiety of new energy vehicle endurance.
Anwa New Energy Company and Wuhu Economic Development Zone jointly established a new solid-state battery industrial park, the first phase covers an area of about 150 acres, and the production line will be highly integrated and highly automated. At the same time, the project adopts advanced dry manufacturing technology, which greatly reduces fixed asset investment and energy consumption, and is more environmentally friendly.
In recent times, good news has been coming from the solid-state battery industry chain. Many related companies have disclosed their layout and progress in the field of solid-state batteries. For example, Del shares' solid-state battery trial production line is expected to be completed by the end of the year; Narada's pilot production line can already achieve small-batch delivery; Pioneer Intelligent has obtained orders for all-solid-state production lines from well-known domestic and foreign automobile and solid-state battery companies; Baichuan shares' two TMA production lines are in normal production, providing key material guarantees for the production of solid-state batteries. These news indicate that the industrialization process of solid-state batteries is accelerating.
