Recently, Renesas Electronics and Sunwoda Power Technology Co., Ltd. reached a cooperation consensus and jointly announced that they will work together to design automotive
BMS
and
gateway
solutions for the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) market. Targeting Tier 1 automotive parts suppliers and OEMs, the two parties will
develop interconnected
gateways
and RH850 MCU-on-chip
BMS
solutions
based on Renesas Electronics
R-Car
system-on-chip (SoC)
.
According to the agreement, Renesas will provide Sunwoda with the latest R-Car SoC, RH850 MCU, analog and power products, as well as related technical support to assist it in developing a new generation of in-vehicle connection gateway systems and BMS products. The two parties will regularly share product development roadmaps, product specifications and market-related information.
