As an important pillar industry of the national economy, the automobile industry is at a critical stage of transformation and upgrading. National automobile standards bear the responsibility of leading the development of the industry and play an important role in regulating the automobile market, ensuring product quality, and promoting technological progress. China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd., as the secretariat of the National Technical Committee for Automotive Standardization, has compiled and released the 2024 National Automobile Standard System.
As of January 2024, the National Standardization Administration has approved and issued a total of 128 mandatory national standards for automobiles (including motorcycles), of which 70 are applicable to passenger cars and 89 are applicable to commercial vehicles. There are 84 national standards related to new energy vehicles and 43 related to intelligent connected vehicles.
The national automobile standard system diagram has been released for three consecutive years, promoting the industry's understanding of key national automobile standard projects, promoting the implementation of national standards in the entire automobile chain, and helping the automobile industry develop with high quality.
