Core Yueneng’s automotive-grade silicon carbide chip production line enters mass production stage

News on June 19, according to the Guangzhou Government website, on June 17, the 2023 China Nansha International Integrated Circuit Industry Forum opened in Nansha, Guangzhou.


At the meeting, the person in charge of Xinyueneng Semiconductor Company, which has settled in Nansha, announced that the Xinyueneng silicon carbide wafer chip production line has successfully entered the mass production stage. According to reports, the products of this production line include a series of automotive-grade and industrial-grade silicon carbide chip products such as 1200V, 16 milliohm, and 35 milliohm. The test data in all aspects are good, and they have been successively delivered to many customers and OEMs to send samples for verification. At present, It has signed contracts with more than ten COT customers, and has completed mass production of products of four customers' scale.

It is understood that the Core Guangdong Energy Project will be settled in Nansha in 2021, with a total investment of 7.5 billion yuan. It will build production lines with an annual output of 240,000 6-inch and 240,000 8-inch silicon carbide wafers. It is currently the largest domestic vehicle-specific silicon carbide wafer production line. A silicon carbide chip manufacturing project with a large-scale industry cluster and complete industry chain support.


Xu Wei, President of Xin Yueneng Semiconductor, said that Xin Yueneng’s mass production is a gradual process, but Xin Yueneng is also very confident that it will complete the construction of a monthly production capacity of 10,000 pieces by the end of this year.
