Infineon and Delta Electronics cooperate in the field of electric vehicles
The two parties signed a memorandum of cooperation to deepen their long-term cooperative relationship from industrial to automotive applications.
[March 21, 2023, Munich, Germany] Infineon Technologies AG, a global leader in automotive semiconductors, and Delta Electronics, a global leader in power supply and energy management, announced that they will expand the scope of their long-term cooperation from industry to automotive applications. The two parties signed a long-term cooperation memorandum today, aiming to continue to deepen cooperation and innovation between the two parties and provide solutions with higher power density and energy efficiency for the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. This agreement covers a wide range of products such as high and low voltage discrete power components, modules and microcontrollers, focusing on applications such as electric vehicle power systems including traction inverters, DC converters and on-board chargers.
In addition, the two parties will also set up a joint innovation laboratory for electric vehicle applications, which will be jointly managed by the two companies. The Delta Electronics-Infineon Automotive Innovation Center will be located in Pingzhen, Taoyuan and is expected to be established in the second half of 2023.
