CEVA, Inc., the world's leading licensee of wireless connectivity and intelligent sensing technologies and co-creation solutions, announced that Autotalks, the global leader in V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication solutions, has obtained the license to launch its third-generation V2X The CEVA-XC4500 vector DSP and CEVA-BX1 scalar DSP are deployed in chipsets TEKTON3 and SECTON3. This is the latest cooperation result between the two parties following Autotalks' second-generation chips SECTON and CRATON2 (these chips also use CEVA DSP).
Market research firm ABI Research predicts that the number of registered vehicles with V2X will increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 53% from 2023 to more than 61 million vehicles by 2030. TEKTON3 and SECTON3 chipsets are designed to support all existing and future V2X requirements, and CEVA DSP supports the operation of these chips' 5G NR-V2X modems, enhancing V2X performance to improve safety and autonomous driving functions. TEKTON3 and SECTON3 have received approval from a major automotive OEM for mass production of passenger vehicles and are scheduled to be launched on the market in 2026.
Amos Freund, Vice President of R&D at Autotalks, commented: “We are delighted to expand our collaboration with CEVA to continue to deliver the world’s best V2X hardware and software with TEKTON3 and SECTON3 chips. This will enable simultaneous support of DSRC and C-V2X technologies, including the latest 5G NR -V2X standards), CEVA’s DSPs play a key role. We are excited to see these chips deployed in passenger vehicles over the next few years to help protect car drivers, motorcycles and pedestrians.”
Guy Keshet, Vice President and General Manager of CEVA's Mobile Broadband Business Unit, said: "Autotalks is widely recognized by the industry as a pioneer in V2X chipsets and continues to advance the technology to achieve large-scale market adoption. We are honored to work closely with the company to provide Two generations of V2X technology deliver best-in-class DSP products. We look forward to a safer future, thanks in part to Autotalks’ life-saving V2X solutions.”
