Nezha Tiangong Battery and Infineon BMS overall solution technology cooperation launch ceremony
The BMS battery management system is the "brain" of the battery and one of the core technologies of the new energy vehicle industry. The BMS system-level solution jointly developed by the two parties includes Nezha Automobile's self-developed Tiangong battery, Infineon's AURIX™ microcontroller, 12-channel AFE, power management chip and other products, which meet the system functional safety requirements of ASIL D. It can provide a more integrated, more accurate, safer and more stable battery management strategy, thereby further optimizing the power and economy of the electronic control system of new energy vehicles, while improving the driving range and enhancing the battery safety protection capabilities. It brings users a better full life cycle battery management experience and significantly reduces development time and procurement costs. With this cooperation, Nezha Automobile has become the world's first cooperative brand for Infineon Technologies' BMS overall solution for new energy vehicles.
Nezha Auto Co-founder and CEO, Zhang Yong, spoke first : "We will work together for collaboration and innovation, and discuss smart manufacturing and development. As an outstanding representative of China's new car companies, Nezha Auto has always regarded cooperation with Infineon as one of its important development strategies to ensure that our products remain ahead in terms of technological advancement, quality, reliability, and economy. This cooperation in BMS is another important node for Nezha Auto to seize the high ground in the new energy vehicle market. In the future, Nezha Auto will continue to cooperate with Infineon to promote the advancement of Nezha Auto's technology and products based on more advanced semiconductor solutions, and set a new technological 'roadmap' for the local automotive Internet of Everything and future travel."
Cao Yanfei, senior vice president of Infineon Technologies Greater China and head of the automotive electronics business unit, said in his speech: "Infineon's automotive semiconductor products serve important areas such as automotive electrification, autonomous driving, vehicle networking and high-level safety precautions, helping the automotive industry's low-carbon and digital transformation. Infineon always takes product quality as its foundation and strives to pursue zero-defect goals in multiple dimensions such as functionality, reliability, and time cost. Last year, Infineon delivered billions of automotive-grade devices, which is the best endorsement of Infineon's product quality by the market. The cooperation with Nezha Auto in the application of battery management combines the advantages of both parties in power batteries and semiconductor technologies, achieving new breakthroughs, which is of great significance to Infineon's new energy vehicle business in Greater China."
Finn Felsberg, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Power Integration and Supply at Infineon, also participated in the launch ceremony via video link and exchanged views with guests on issues such as chip supply chain and quality control. He said: "Infineon's IDM model has a complete supply chain system. We respond quickly to changes in market demand and continuously improve supply chain stability by continuously investing in future production capacity. At the same time, our close and fast-responding regional distribution and customer logistics centers also play an important role."
