HERE Technologies Enables China's FAW Hongqi Brand's Overseas Business

Beijing, March 29, 2022 – HERE Technologies, a leading location data and technology platform, announced that China FAW Group has chosen HERE’s location services and location information to support its high-end luxury car brand Hongqi’s entry into the European and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

With the services provided by HERE's maps and connected car navigation system, Hongqi car users in Europe and the GCC will enjoy a safer and more comfortable driving experience. These features include accurate maps, speed limit information, road condition information, route planning and guidance, such as the location of electric vehicle charging stations, and local weather conditions.

By providing FAW Hongqi with map information covering the world and specific countries, HERE provides the Chinese automaker with local location data and information, thereby providing navigation services to users in foreign markets and helping Hongqi achieve large-scale expansion in the international market.

In November 2021, the full-size luxury sedan Hongqi H9 won the "Innovative Luxury Car Award" at the 9th Saudi National Automobile Awards  . In February this year, Hongqi delivered the first batch of full-size pure electric smart SUV Hongqi E-HS9 to Norwegian customers; at the same time, in Vietnam, this model was launched at the same time as Hongqi H9.
