On February 21, 2022, the China Association for Science and Technology held the 2022 "Science and Technology Innovation China" annual meeting in Beijing and released the 2021 "Science and Technology Innovation China" series of lists. BOE's new in-vehicle display technology was listed on the 2021 "Science and Technology Innovation China" leading technology list. In the field of electronic information, BOE's in-vehicle display technology represents the cutting-edge level of the field, and has groundbreaking breakthroughs in meeting the diverse needs of the automotive industry. It leads the market development with large-screen, personalized, ultra-high-definition in-vehicle display products and solutions, which is of industry-leading significance.
The 2021 "Science and Technology Innovation China" list selected 100 "Leading Technology List", 10 "Key Technology List for Breaking Shortcomings (Equipment Manufacturing Field)", 100 "Emerging Enterprise List", 10 "Industry-University-Research Integration Organization List", 10 "Science and Technology Venture Capital Institution List", 64 "Open Source Innovation List", and 90 "Youth Entrepreneurship List", totaling 384 projects to be included in the list. The "Science and Technology Innovation China" list was established by the China Association for Science and Technology. It aims to select a group of leading figures, a group of cutting-edge enterprises, a group of industry-university integration organizations, and a group of leading technologies, aggregate talents, integrate technologies, and gather services to promote the standardization, marketization, and internationalization of technology transactions. Among them, the "Science and Technology Innovation China" Leading Technology List requires that the technologies of the selected enterprises or organizations are innovative, strategic, leading, and breakthrough, reach a certain degree of maturity and pass early verification, and are convertible, transferable, and tradable. The enterprises or individuals who own the technology have the willingness to transform, promote and apply it.
BOE's new in-vehicle display technology was successfully selected thanks to its excellent in-vehicle development talent team. More than half of the team members have master's degrees, covering physics, mechanical engineering and automation, communication engineering, optical engineering, electronic engineering and other multidisciplinary fields. They have been in the industry for a long time and have a senior in-vehicle development background and experience. BOE's new in-vehicle display technology created by this strong R&D team has made breakthroughs in the research and development of many technical indicators, functions and forms. Its technical achievements include BD Cell stacking screen technology with an ultra-high contrast ratio of 100,000, which can realize the local dimming function at the pixel level and combine the HDR algorithm to achieve more delicate detail display; and it pioneered the industry's first application of in-vehicle Panel photosensitive technology, realizing adaptive ambient light brightness adjustment, meeting the needs of car companies for photosensitive adjustment; followed by 4K eDP signal split-screen driving large-size ultra-narrow splicing dual-screen technology, providing higher transmission rate for multi-screen display, and achieving high-definition, delicate and rich in-vehicle display effects; there are also large-size ultra-narrow splicing technology, anti-peeping display technology, and million-level ultra-high contrast Mini LED technology.
BOE's new in-vehicle display technology belongs to the leading and pillar innovation field in the semiconductor industry. As the global in-vehicle business platform of BOE Group, BOE Varitronix continues to provide full-scenario solutions for in-vehicle business. At present, in the fields of automotive instrumentation, central control assembly, entertainment system display, head-up display, rearview mirror, etc., it has launched a variety of technologies and products such as AMOLED, BD Cell, Mini-LED, large size, multi-screen, curved surface, full lamination, etc., and has been fully applied to mainstream automobile brands in China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, etc. The vigorous development of BOE's new in-vehicle display technology will help optimize the existing industrial layout, help the planning goals of strategic emerging industries, further expand the application field of semiconductor displays, provide a corresponding employment platform for high-level talents, and meet the diverse needs of consumers for in-vehicle displays.
