The infotainment system will be integrated with Amazon's smart home and security technology, allowing live video to be monitored from the vehicle's various screens and the vehicle to be managed using devices that support Amazon's Alexa subsidiary.
To support these plans, Stellantis will use Amazon Web Services as its preferred cloud computing provider for its vehicle platform. They will also create a software product development environment called Virtual Engineering Workbench, which will include tools for machine learning model training and data collection and analysis.
Innovative Chinese elements
Despite the epidemic, China is still present at CES.
At CES 2022, in addition to the two vehicle brands Zeekr and Jidu mentioned earlier, five supply chain companies showcased their technologies or signed cooperation projects. They are the three musketeers in the field of lidar: RoboSense, Hesai Technology and Tudatong, as well as two smart cockpit and Internet of Vehicles suppliers: Desay SV and Shanghai Boya.
RoboSense, which has participated in CES for six consecutive years, was evaluated for its RS-LiDAR-M1 and became the winner of the Innovation Award for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020.
At CES 2022, they brought the new 128-line mechanical lidar RS-Ruby Plus, which made its global debut.
RS-Ruby Plus has a longer detection distance and higher detection accuracy. Its diameter has been reduced from 166 mm to 125 mm, and its height has been reduced from 148.5 mm to 125 mm. Its volume and overall weight have been reduced by more than 50%, and its power consumption has been reduced from 45W to 27W.
At the same time, its new generation of customized 32-line laser radar RS-Helios-5515 also made its overseas debut.
This customized radar of the same model as Alibaba's intelligent robot "Xiaomanlu" has a unique wiring harness design and can achieve a downward projection of 55° on the basis of an ultra-large vertical field of view of 70°, significantly reducing the near-field blind spot and allowing forward perception and near-field blind spot compensation to be achieved in one step.
Hesai Technology publicly exhibited for the first time the automotive-grade semi-solid-state LiDAR AT128 equipped with a new generation of self-developed chips, and released the new short-range ultra-wide-angle LiDAR QT128.
At present, Hesai AT128 has obtained more than millions of units of pre-installed mass production orders from OEMs around the world, including Ideal, Jidu, HiPhi, and Lotus, and will be fully mass-produced and delivered in the second half of this year.
QT128 is a blind spot radar designed for autonomous driving applications such as L4 robotaxi and robotruck, and will be mass-produced and delivered in the first quarter of 2023.
Innovusion exhibited its Falcon, an image-level ultra-long-range LiDAR that will soon be mass-produced and installed in the NIO ET7. It is scheduled to be officially mass-produced and delivered in the first quarter of this year.
At the same time, Robin, Tudatong's first image-level short-range laser radar, made its global debut. It uses the most cutting-edge electronic and optical technologies and can be integrated into the vehicle's side fenders, headlights, taillights or bumpers. Its height is only 35 mm. Its new combination with Falcon will also establish more effective safety and performance guarantees for the all-round perception solution around the vehicle.
Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies announced that the two parties will jointly build Desay SV's 4th-generation intelligent cockpit system based on the leading computing, AI, graphics, imaging and multimedia performance of the 4th-generation Snapdragon cockpit platform, integrating multiple dimensions such as visual perception, voice perception, and interactive behavior to achieve an intelligent, scenario-based multi-modal fusion experience.
PATEO Car Networking has reached a strategic cooperation with BlackBerry, and will use BlackBerry QNX technology and PATEO's cockpit integration core technology advantages to deploy advanced solutions for China's smart cockpit market. BlackBerry IVY will be integrated into PATEO's smart cockpit solution to provide a service-oriented architecture (SOA) solution.
