According to foreign media reports, StradVision, a developer of AI perception software for autonomous vehicles and ADAS systems, announced a partnership with LG Electronics to develop an advanced cockpit instrument platform for the global automotive industry based on augmented reality solutions. The two companies will work together to develop LG Electronics' next-generation augmented reality solutions to achieve industry-leading performance, stability and efficiency, and set new standards for driving safety.

“LG Electronics is a strategic partner of StradVision and we have a long history of close collaboration on advanced ADAS technologies, including LG Electronics’ next-generation DNN-based augmented reality solutions,” said Junhwan Kim, CEO of StradVision. “We look forward to further expanding our collaboration with LG Electronics to jointly develop cutting-edge technologies for a safer road environment and discover new business opportunities.”
Automakers are increasingly interested in the benefits of augmented reality solutions, especially augmented reality head-up displays (AR-HUDs), and are looking to adopt this technology in many models. This next-generation technology projects important road information such as navigation and various ADAS warnings into the driver's line of sight, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road while accurately perceiving the surrounding environment through real-time interaction with objects along the way.

StradVision’s camera perception software SVNet supports augmented reality applications, focusing on improving the visual effects of the head-up display or the center screen of the car. The software provides the best enhanced visual perception capabilities, including:
Depth Map Solution: The latest feature uses innovative pseudo-LiDAR technology to avoid the use of high-cost and high-performance LiDAR equipment and provide high-precision distance measurement of objects using only a single-channel camera;
Semantic segmentation: Use deep learning technology to analyze the images captured by the vehicle camera pixel by pixel to classify objects;
Lane Detection: Identify basic ADAS functions on the road, such as lane departure warning, lane keeping system, lane keeping assist system, lane centering assist;
SVNet is a lightweight software that enables vehicles to accurately detect and identify objects such as other vehicles, lanes, pedestrians, animals, free space, traffic signs and lights, even in adverse weather conditions or low light conditions.

Built on deep learning perception algorithms, SVNet is more compact than competing products and requires less memory and power to run. The software supports more than 14 hardware platforms and can be customized and optimized for other hardware systems.
