BlackBerry and Desay SV Automotive Co., Ltd. Help Chery Tiggo 8 Plus and Jetour X90 Models Create Immersive “Cinema-Level” Driving Experience

BlackBerry (NYSE: BB; TSX: BB) today announced that it has teamed up with Desay SV Automotive (002920) to launch a dual-screen virtual cockpit domain controller for improved driving safety. The domain controller, powered by the QNX® Hypervisor and the QNX ®  Neutrino ® real-time operating system (RTOS), is now available on the Tiggo 8 Plus and Jetour X90 models from Chery, a leading Chinese automaker.

Tiggo 8 Plus is a flagship SUV developed and built on Chery's T1X platform, while the new generation Jetour X90 is Chery Jetour's first model equipped with a Level 2 intelligent driving system, which can provide drivers and passengers with a cinematic experience while driving. Currently, both Chery models are equipped with Desay SV's latest intelligent cockpit domain controller. The domain controller uses QNX Hypervisor, which not only guarantees the reliability and high performance of the QNX® Neutrino® real-time operating system (RTOS), but also allows multiple operating systems to coexist safely on the same system-on-chip (SoC). Developers can use QNX Hypervisor to partition and isolate safety-critical systems from infotainment systems, ensuring that critical systems can remain isolated and continue to operate even when other components fail.
