According to foreign media reports, recently, Humanising Autonomy, a predictive artificial intelligence (AI) technology company, announced that it is working with Ambarella, Inc. to provide cutting-edge perception and human behavior analysis services for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles (AV) and consumer dashcams. Integrating Humanising Autonomy's HAxEdge intent prediction engine with Ambarella's CVflow® chip products can realize advanced capabilities for perceiving vulnerable road users (VRU) in various automotive cameras, and the solution can be deployed immediately.

The solution combines Ambarella's deep understanding of core computer vision algorithms with Humanising Autonomy's expertise in human intent prediction to bring a superior automotive ASIL B camera solution to the market. Equipment manufacturers and automakers can improve safety-critical functions of ADAS and AV systems, and the HAxEdge intent prediction engine will be optimized on the CVflow system-on-chip. The low-power, modular solution can be deployed in a variety of use cases, such as real-time intent prediction technology in forward collision warning systems, blind spot detection technology, automatic emergency braking technology, and adaptive cruise control functions.

“Ambarella shares Humanising Autonomy’s mission to provide precise and accurate perception in all environments,” said Maya Pindeus, CEO of Humanising Autonomy. “Combining the power of CVflow chips with HAxEdge will help OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and equipment providers improve driver and pedestrian safety.”

Chris Day, vice president of marketing and business development at Ambarella, added: “This collaboration enables dash cam and automakers to gain easy access to leading-edge perception and human behavior analytics services optimized for a wide range of applications on a single, low-power AI vision processor, with fast time-to-market.”

Humanising Autonomy's HAxEdge is a highly advanced intent prediction engine that extracts observable and inferable behaviors from video data to predict all human behaviors. Ambarella's chip architecture is built on a deep understanding of core computer vision algorithms, including CVflow, a specialized visual processing engine that is programmed with high-level algorithm descriptions, allowing Ambarella's architecture to scale performance to trillions of operations per second at extremely low power.
