As of May 2018, all new trucks and cars in the U.S. are required by federal law to have backup monitoring technology, but there are still millions of cars manufactured more than two years ago that lack the sensors that would notify the driver if they are about to hit another vehicle while backing up.

For years, new drivers and even some experienced drivers have been apprehensive about double parking because if their attention is diverted for even a moment, their vehicle could creep in close enough to collide with another vehicle.
Now, according to foreign media reports, FenSens has developed a lightweight smart solar parking sensor that can solve drivers' troubles and provide a simple and effective way to avoid collision accidents when parking.
The ultrasonic, ultra-small sensor can be easily installed on the front or rear of a car or truck without the need for wiring. Once the sensor is synced with the FenSens app on a phone, it becomes an early warning system. If the car gets too close to anything, an audio and visual warning is sent to the driver's phone. In fact, the sensor can also tell the driver how close the vehicle is to other objects (distance), ensuring that the driver is neither too close nor too far away from other objects, but just the right distance.
After the initial full charge of the sensor, it can be charged 100% by solar power, so drivers never have to worry about it running out of power, and it is completely unaffected by weather conditions. And if drivers happen to use Siri or Google voice command assistants, the FenSens app is fully compatible with them as well.
FenSens sensors can be installed in both older and classic models without the need for extensive and expensive modifications to the car’s electrical equipment.
The lightweight smart solar-powered parking sensor from FenSens normally costs $129, but is now available for under $100, and can be installed on any vehicle for just $89.
