Products and application examples will be presented digitally, and presentations, online courses, infographics, videos, 360-degree views and useful documentation will be available for download. A digital auditorium will also be set up at the exhibition itself for online seminars. Visitors can ask questions and participate in discussions during the presentations via a live chat function.
Key products and topics
With the electrification of the drivetrain, the requirements for speed sensors in the powertrain are changing, for example due to the start-stop characteristics of the internal combustion engine. Infineon Technologies is launching a new crankshaft sensor with a dedicated algorithm for hybrid powertrains. In addition, the new camshaft sensor also reduces the reliance on rare earths.
Functional safety is becoming increasingly important in industrial and automotive applications. Infineon Technologies has expanded its angle sensor portfolio by adding several new models to the XENSIV™ TLE5014 series of GMR angle sensors to meet different functional safety requirements.
Space is a constraint in many consumer applications such as joysticks and game consoles. Infineon Technologies is introducing a new, very compact 3D magnetic sensor that is nearly 90% smaller than similar products and can be installed at half the height, giving engineers new design options.
Sensors add more functionality to "smart buildings", improving safety and efficiency of entire buildings and individual rooms. Infineon Technologies is launching new applications in its smart building sensor portfolio, including helping people maintain safe social distance in public places and performing predictive maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems before failures occur.
With the help of the compact 24 GHz radar chip, people can accurately measure various vital signs such as cardiovascular and respiratory. One of the examples on display is the "Smart Eyes" realized by Infineon technology, which can accurately detect and measure the slightest movements.
In addition to the above key products, Infineon will also exhibit a number of other technical solutions at the VSE exhibition, such as inverters or motors for industrial applications. For more information, please visit www.infineon.com/vse .
