Recently, Xpeng Motors announced that it will continue to cooperate with NVIDIA , and its next-generation smart pure electric vehicles will continue to be equipped with NVIDIA 's AI autonomous driving computing platform . The Xpeng P7, which was just announced to be officially launched on April 27, is the first mass-produced model equipped with the NVIDIA DRIVETM AGX Xavier platform.
It is reported that the NVIDIA DRIVETM AGX Xavier autonomous driving computing platform used by Xiaopeng P7 has the super-high performance and high-efficiency Xavier system-on-chip (SoC), which has L4 autonomous driving computing capabilities and can achieve 30 trillion operations per second with a power consumption of only 30 watts, which is 15 times more energy efficient than the previous generation architecture.
Regarding the continued cooperation between the two parties in the future, Wu Xinzhou, Vice President of Autonomous Driving at Xpeng Motors , said: "Our successful cooperation with NVIDIA is crucial to the development and production of the Xpeng P7. Xavier's performance and energy efficiency have accelerated our development of this safe, intelligent and feature-rich second-generation smart electric vehicle. We very much look forward to working with NVIDIA to take further steps in the smart car race."
Rishi Dhall, vice president of autonomous vehicles at NVIDIA, also said: "Chinese consumers will soon be able to experience the highly intelligent autonomous driving functions of the Xpeng P7 and verify the processing power, efficiency, safety and scalability of Xavier. We will work closely with Xpeng Motors to build its next-generation smart electric vehicle architecture."
